EXTRACTION PROCESS

50% Comfrey Leaf, 25% Comfrey Roots and 25% Astragalus extracted at 120F Slow with 10% Ethanol, 5% Acetone and 85% N Butane.
Make a salve with a little Coconut Oil and Oil of Palm. Allow to cool and thicken and apply on the injured joint or broken bone. Wrap with a water proof wrap like seran wrap. Wrap that with an ace bandage and then with a heating pad and allow to work overnight. 3-4 times per week.
The Injury heels faster than you can break it down during daily use. Usually it is the other way around and that is why we cant heal. Of course a super diet, warm/hot water mobility exercises and cleaning your system out first will greatly aid in recovery. After treatment baby it for a while and take it easy and allow it all to sink in for a week. Even though you may feel great, you need to allow it to thicken and strengthen. your old muscle and bone structure is more likely stronger than the new tissue you just built. Break in the new tissue slowly as you get back to your old life.

If you are serious about this you can make it happen in a way that will seem alien promoted or like a divine hand healed you.
Breathing oxygen, Heating the blood and increasing oxygen circulation and waste removal is your best asset. Cleanse. Gravity, Pressure and Breath are your best friends if used wisely. "Hatha Yoga" by Yogi Ramacharaka. Read this book written by a white man under the pen name. He knew how to talk to americans about the western science and he had to trick people into buying the book in the 1930s because of our stereotypical views. I once tried to promote this book as mandatory for every student because of the profound wealth of insight and information about the 3 elements we ingest and how they are used moved and eliminated through our bodies. We only understand about 5% of what is in this book before we read it. Dont do that to yourself or family.

Doctors are MEDICAL DOCTORS
Taught to use MEDICINE
Made by PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANIES
Sales reps for PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANIES
Restricted and controlled by the FDA they can only prescribe what has been approved by the FDA.
Our Bodies cannot treat or cure. Only they can so they say.
But we can heal. We are a walking healing machine. We can produce drugs on demand on the fly and our body talks to us and we need to learn to listen and respond not only during healing but also prevention.
Plants produce nearly 65% of all pharmaceuticals. Our bodies produce a good percentage of that and more. No one man or company can compete. And it is not up for debate.
If you have become too lazy or misled and consumed your self into disease or laden toxicity, then you may need some guidance. Then a doctor may be helpful but remember that he is restricted to what a pharmaceutical company can copy or produce. A small percentage of what we are all capable of doing ourselves.

I promote medical assistance but they are not gods and no company will make claims to heal you from cancer. But we people still heal ourselves after being sent home to die. We heal all the time. Day in and day out. Even more while we sleep.
There is a lot of information out there and it is our job to find it and use it.
How serious is this threat.
I attack this like a soldier going into battle. I kick ass and take names. I cleanse and prepare myself mentally and physically when I am seriously injured. This is no joke. We are talking about crippling injuries and early death if we get lethargic about it all.
I have seen people spend more time learning how to to make money or picking out the restaurant they are going to eat at.

When you are ready to get started remember..
Therapy produces soreness.
Abuse produces pain.
If you are in pain the next day, you went too hard, too long or too fast. Back off.
What you will find with this salve is that you are able to move hard, longer and faster with less pain the next day because your body can keep up with it now. But it can only do this if you cleared a path for nutrition to get there and you deliver it. You have to deliver it to the right place by creating soreness which triggers the signal that supplies are needed HERE.
Some injuries need to heal slow so check with your doctor to make sure healing fast is ok. compression of nerves etc.
Although that is what the calamus helps with but remember that your body is who decides what will happen. Start slow and slowly work your way into it.
Test for allergic reactions etc.
None of these statements have been approved by the Food Drug Administration.

I just posted a huge reply, but the server timed out and lost it all. I don't have time to write it all again, but I'll do my best to get the points across.

I performed this extraction over the weekend. I filled the column with:

35 grams of Comfrey Leaf
17.5 grams of Comfrey Root
17.5 grams of Astragalus

This was extracted using:
35ml of acetone
70 ml of ethanol
595 ml of N-butane

(Note these figures are all on par with the percentages provided).

The post says extract slow at 120F, but that is contradictory with what it says in the manual, about not heating solvents under pressure in this extractor, or some components may rupture.

Rupturing components sounds like a dangerous costly experience in which I would like to avoid, so I elected to warm the canister and extractor 110F.

I interpreted this as a slow "wash," rather than a soak, but am unsure now, as my yield was rather low.

Should I have done a soak?

Also, the herbs that I purchased from my local apothecary were quite dry and in small pieces, so did not grind them. I am now starting to think that this was also a contributing factor to the results, which was a very aromatic, but small amount of extract. I only collected ~.7grams of extract after the transport solvent was evaporated.

Should I have ground the herbs to a powder?
I think I need to invest in a Vitamix...

My final questions refer to your salve recipe.

Do I have enough extract to make a small amount?

Most recipes for salves just infuse the herbs in olive oil, strain through a cheesecloth, and then add beeswax until the desired consistency is reached.

Do you use beeswax, or just the oils?

I have a friend that shattered his elbow and fractured his radial head, so I was hoping to get this salve to him soon.

Thanks for all your hard work and contributions!

If you are not filled completely with liquid, which is dangerous, and you have airspace
in your tanks as instructed, heating to 120F will only bring the air pressure inside the tank to 50 or 60 psi.
Very low pressures.
The manual states to recover at 110 because it will not go any faster if you do because the added pressure will just prevent the butane from evaporating unless it can be condensed faster. We have to put a cap on the heat or some people would heat up to 300F.

Coconut oil is preferred because it absorbs
into the body easily. Wax just holds it together
and keeps it from being runny.
You may have to play around with the amount if you
are extracting out different amounts other than described.

When you grind all that up correctly for the TE175
you should be able to get 70-80 grams or more in there easily. Slowing the flow and soaking are how you increase yields. Adding time, heat and the correct solvents are all you can do to increase yields. Figuring out the balance of what to add or take away is how you avoid extracting out unwanted components like wax etc. In the case of medicinals we want it all out.
I grind all my medicinals to almost flour like consistency and fill the column up slowly, stop the flow after I get about 1/4 the solvent out of the solvent tank.
I then soak the first volume for hours if possible.
The let the remaining solvent wash out the extracted components.
I get enough using the TE700 to make 2 4 ounce jars after I make
my salve. Treats both knees for over two weeks.

* for those of you who do not understand volumes, let me clarify.
The Tamisium is a 1:4 ratios extractor meaning that for every volume of plant material we use 4 volumes of solvent. The column holds the 1 volume of plant material and the tank holds the 4 volumes of solvent. After you fill the column of plant material with solvent, you should have one volume of solvent in there. This is the volume of solvent that does 90% of the dissolving of the chemicals and oils. The remaining solvent just washes out what has already been dissolved and or melted in the case of heat being added.
This why it is important to stop the flow after it is filled with the first volume. this is when you add the time, heat and the effects of the sovlent you chose to use. Grinding up your plant material very fine is sometimes all the time you need to add because the finely ground up plant material and slow flow takes sufficient time in most cases. However I want to make sure I have allowed enough time when making a medicinal for myself, so I fill very slowly to make sure I dont channel the solvent through too fast. Then after it has began to flow into the bottom tank. I stop the flow and allow it to soak for several hours. The key to complete extractions is patience. TIME
You can decrease time with heat or add time for cold and get the same yield but varied purity.
Or you can add time and mild heat and get it all.

I'm interested in other healing salves you might have tried. I was in a snowmobile accident. I have shattered my right femur as well as tearing ligaments in both my right knee and right ankle. I did purchase the 175 with the intentions of taking charge of my recovery. The medications Dr's keep prescribing have even taking hold and I want to stop. Can you recommend any recepies? Where can I find info on carrier solvents?
Thank you in advance.
